some recent fic recs

so today over at snowflake_challenge the task is to rec some fanworks, and I thought I'd share some recent(ish) Sam/Bucky things I've read.

I like how chill Bucky is and how somehow Sam is still vaguely irritated but totally on board with this first time.

Summary:Sam always had a thing for people who are good at what they do. The smartest girl in his dorm writing code. Riley dipping and soaring, hooting in the air next to him. Steve calling out “on your left!” as he laps him around the Washington Mall. Now, alarmingly, that same principle of attraction has apparently extended to Bucky fucking Barnes rolling a joint.

Well fuck, Sam thinks.

I would basically rec everything this author has written, so if dubious consent because of aliens isn't your thing, please do take a gander at their past works, because they are so, so good.

So this one would usually be a little out of my bubble but I gave it a chance and enjoyed it. I liked the path Sam took to the relationship, but mostly it's about Bucky and a bit of worldbuilding that I really enjoyed. It's a second story in a series, but I didn't read the first it's Steve/Tony if you're interested, and I think it works just fine on its own.

This is an excellent varied sampler of Winterfalcon fic. I'm eager to give that first fic, in particular, a read.

I hope you liked it! I don't know anything about smoking weed, and I was about as fascinated as Sam imagining Bucky's hands moving through that ritual.
